There are differences in the content offerings in the British and American IPTV landscapes. The types of media offered includes live national or regional programming, programming available on demand, recorded programming, and exclusive productions like TV shows or movies only available through that service that aren’t available for purchase or seen on television outside of the service.

Legal boundaries would restrict unrestricted availability to user information; hence, data privacy and protection laws would likely resist new technologies that may compromise user safety. However, the current integrated video on-demand service market makes one think otherwise.
